Baptist Memorial Health Care will open the Spence and Becky Wilson Baptist Children’s Hospital to the public on Wednesday, January 28th, in East Memphis. This hospital will feature a 17,000-square-foot emergency department that will be staffed with pediatric emergency medicine physicians and a pediatric diagnostic area. Patients will have access to Baptist’s first pediatric general surgeon, multiple ENT surgeons, and several pediatric eye surgeons. Coverage will be provided around the clock.
The Pediatric Eye Center will also transition from the Women’s Hospital to the Children’s Hospital, making it the only clinic in the Mid-South that provides services for diagnosis, treatment, surgery, and follow-up of eye-related issues.
