DaVinci brand cribs manufactured between May 2012 and December 2012 have been voluntarily recalled in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. It was discovered that one of the four metal brackets that connect the mattress to the support can break. This causes a gap and an uneven sleeping surface for the baby, which can result in entrapment, falls, lacerations, and asphyxiation. The company is recommending that anyone who purchased one of more of these cribs stop using it immediately and contact them for a resolution.
