U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Regional Hospitals Rankings, named Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto number one in Mississippi. Baptist DeSoto was noted as having more services ranked as “high performing” than any other hospital in the state. In addition to this, the overall ranking was based on reputation with specialists, survival, patient safety, and other care-related indicators like nurse staffing, patient volume, certain clinically proven technologies, and other measures related to the quality of care provided.
Baptist DeSoto is also known for cardiac care. On average, patients go from the Emergency Room to treatment faster than the national standard of 90 minutes. Patients also get access to advanced technology and the Stern Cardiovascular Foundation.
