Mark Your Calendar for “Get Outside” Events at Shelby Farms
Summertime is here – the kids are out of school, the weather’s getting warmer, and it’s the perfect time to get outside. We’ve teamed up with Shelby Farms Parks as a sponsor of their Get Outside series. “This is a brand new program. It’s for everybody at every level,” said Ann Marie Wallace, system community outreach coordinator for Baptist Memorial Health Care. “It’s free and they have everything from yoga to Zumba. It runs the gamut.”
No matter what your interest is – or what your schedule is – you’re likely to find the perfect opportunity to get moving. Whether you come alone, with a friend, or bring the entire family, there is something for everyone. “Classes start as early as 5:30 in the morning, which is awesome for the summertime,” said Ann Marie. “We’re encouraging people to take part in these classes before they start their day, or if they’re off work, they can do that as well.”
Take a look at a summary of the offerings below and let us know which classes you plan to try this summer.
